Revised 2013 Daihatsu Xenia to be launched on May 15
Don’t want to disappoint their customers, PT Astra Daihatsu Motor Indonesia has recently announced its plans to unveil the revised 2013 Xenia MPV on May 15, 2013.
According to recent reports, this updated model will come with some additional safety features and exclusive accessories for specific variants.
Just like its twin “Avanza”, the revised Xenia will also receive a new airbag features “dual airbags”. However, the new Xenia will get a price increase by IDR 2,5 million up to IDR 4 million from the previous model.
“Prices rose to IDR 2,5 million for Xenia D, M and X. Especially for the R type, increased by IDR 4 million. For the R type, which rose IDR 4 million because there are additional accessories in addition to safety features. All Xenia types will be installed dual airbags and standard NCAP”, said Rio Sanggau (Domestic Marketing Division Head at Astra Daihatsu Motor).
The all-new Daihatsu Xenia is available in two gasoline engine options in the Indonesian market. The first option is a 1.0-liter DOHC VVT-i three-cylinder engine offered for D and M variants, deliver at least 63 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 65 lb-ft of torque at 3,600 rpm.
As for the second option, the Japanese automaker offers a 1.3-liter DOHC VVT-i four-cylinder engine that produces 92 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 80 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm. The second option is offered on the X and R models. There are two transmissions options, a five-speed manual and four-speed automatic gearbox.
