Toyota Indonesia is reportedly will launch the 2013 Etios Valco in Indonesia next week. To distinguish with the models that have been sold in India and Brazil, the new Etios will bring the crown “Valco” in the Indonesian domestic market.
Under the hood, the 2013 Toyota Etios Valco is powered by a 1.2-liter DOHC four-cylinder gasoline engine (1.197 cc) mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, with a maximum power output reaches up to 80 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 103.9 Nm of torque at 3,100 rpm.
This new model has a length of 3,775 cm, width 1,695 cm, height 1,510 cm, and wheelbase of 2,460 cm. Inside the cabin, the interior is equipped with several standard features such as air conditioning and 2-DIN audio system with USB port, AM/FM radio, MP3, WMA, and CD player. While the safety features will include two airbags, ABS brakes system and EBD.
The new Valco hatchback will be assembled at Toyota Karawang plant (Indonesia) and is targeted to beat some of its competitors in the city cars segment, including the Mitsubishi Mirage, Honda Brio, Kia Picanto and Nissan March. The model will be available in three different trim levels, including G, E and J.
As for the price, the 2013 Etios Valco hatchback will go on sale at Indonesian dealerships with a starting price of 130 million IDR or around $13,433 (estimated). And will be available in six exterior colors, including White, Grey metallic, Beige Metallic, Black Mica, Silver Metallic, and Blue Metallic.
