The 2013 Toyota Avanza MPV now gets some important revisions with its new safety features “dual SRS airbags” for the driver and front passenger.

This new safety feature will be offered on the Avanza G and Veloz, while all variants will be equipped with thicker seats. Other standard safety features that have been offered on the current model such as ABS (Anti-lock braking system), EBD braking system, Side Door Impact Beam and much more.

However, the updated model will get a price increase by IDR 3 million. The new Avanza Veloz M/T with dual-airbag will be priced at IDR 183,5 million, while the automatic version will go on sale with a starting price of IDR 193 million.

The all-new Avanza is available in two gasoline engine options, including a 1.3-liter VVT-i four-cylinder engine with 92 horsepower (68 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 79 lb-ft (108 Nm) of torque at 4,400 rpm, and the last option is a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine.

Main rivals: Toyota Avanza is destined to compete with some of its main competitors in the MPV segment in the Indonesian market, such as Suzuki Ertiga and 2013 Chevrolet Spin.
